Dunzo, a quick commerce startup, has notified its employees on the fresh round of layoffs. The company has informed the laid off employees via an official statement as mentioned by media reports.
The decision comes as the company continues to face financial challenges and is looking for ways to manage the situation effectively. These layoffs are said to be a part of the company’s current initiative to reduce cost by approximately 30-40 per cent.
Moreover, the decision is said to affect nearly 150-200 of employees across the Reliance Retail-backed company.
Reportedly, this is the third round of layoffs at the company. The company has already initiated the new layoffs and is informing its employees about it.
Dunzo is recently facing a lawsuit for the delayed payment of its employees’ salaries. Now, after the company announced fresh layoffs, it also communicated on the delayed salaries. The spokesperson informed the employees expecting their balance pay-outs that the sum will be further delayed.
The company communicated in a formal message to employees that all the delayed and pending salaries from June will be provided to the employees on September 4th. Additionally, the salary arrears from July and August will also be credited in September on the same date.
