Elizabeth Mathew has been appointed as the head, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) LeaD. The appointment news was shared in an internal note to the employees, from Milind Lakkad, HR head, TCS.

She will step into the shoes of Anant Haidale and will be responsible for nurturing leadership talent and overseeing diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organisation.

The company’s internal programme, TCS LeaD promotes diversity and leadership in the senior ranks of the organisational hierarchy. Mathew’s appointment is part of a series of leadership changes made by K Krithivasan, CEO, TCS, who took charge earlier this year.

Mathew has taken on various HR leadership positions in different divisions of TCS ever since her association with the company began in 1989. Preeti D’Mello, head of diversity and inclusion, and Bindra R, head of leadership careers, will now report to Matthew.

Anant Haidale, formerly the HR head for North America and leader of TCS LeaD, is reportedly transitioning to a new role within the manufacturing business group. Haidale, who has spent about 15 years with TCS, has more than three decades of experience in the manufacturing space.

In July 2023, TCS revealed several senior management changes in a note to the exchanges. According to that note, K Ananth Krishnan, chief technology officer, TCS, will retire on 31 July 2023.
