Branch to hire interns, offer stipend of Rs. 50,000 per month

Branch, the personal finance app, is hiring engineering interns for backend, machine learning (ML) and android development. These remote interns will be paid a stipend of Rs 50,000 per month. If they perform well, they can hope to be absorbed by the Company in a full-time role later.

Anshul Agrawal, CTO, Branch, says that the Company “values diversity” and is “committed to providing an inclusive working environment where human beings of all backgrounds can thrive”.

The firm is looking to hire interns “willing to learn new skills and have excellent organisational capabilities”.

The interns will get a chance to “build the functionality for existing and new product lines and platforms such as credit, wallet, payments, KYC, data platforms, and so on, and to integrate with various third-party systems, including payment systems, identity providers, and messaging platforms,” reveals Agrawal.

The personal finance app is eager to hire motivated problem solvers who can cope with a startup environment. Language agnostic candidates with knowledge of computer science, distributed systems or data storage are welcome. The software engineering interns will get to work closely with experienced engineers and be contribute significantly to products and code base for about four to six months. The interns will also get to brainstorm, design, code, debug, and ship features serving millions of customers while picking up skills relevant for your career.

The financial services company was able to obtain over $100 million in funding about two years back. It uses the power of data science to reduce the cost of delivering financial services in emerging markets.
