Way.com, the information technology (IT) firm based in California, has launched its operations at Technopark, Kerala. While its workforce is only about 50 strong presently, the Company expects to add 200 more by the end of 2020.

The all-in-one services marketplace, which makes it convenient to book dining space, film tickets, events and even parking space, online, is already successfully operating in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Pune. At Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, its operations will be consolidated. The new office will generate more jobs in the city and will take care of all back-end operations of this Silicon Valley-based startup.

The startup, which was founded by Binu— who grew up in Thiruvananthapuram— in 2014-15, will be hiring talent from the areas of digital marketing, content writing, finance, business development, engineering as well as product management. This new centre in Kerala will handle all the back-office work for the Company.

Way.com was launched by Binu, when he himself faced parking issues and felt there was an urgent need for a transparent platform where people could get parking space at a fair price, without being fleeced. With the help of Agnus C Capital, Binu managed to obtain funds to set up Way.com. The platform provides users with the best possible deal in their locality, be it parking, dining, movies or the latest events/ shows. The platform helps to connect local businesses with valuable customers. Its expansive marketplace also facilitates the advertising and online promotions of products and services.
