The new time of operation will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bank of Baroda has decided to change the working hours of its administrative offices to provide better service to the customers. The bank will now open its administrative offices an hour earlier than the normal timing of the branches and services outlets in the business district.
The new timing of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with effect from September 18, also includes a 30-minute lunch break from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The revised working hours will be followed across all the administrative offices in India, including the head office, corporate office, zonal offices, regional offices, zonal inspection and audit divisions, SME loan factories, specialised mortage stores, back offices, Baroda Academics and Apex Academy and the government business department, New Delhi.
The human resources department said that the new schedule has been introduced to cater to the needs of the customers as per the region in which bank branches and service outlets are located.
For suburban districts, the bank opens its branches and outlets at 9 a.m., so that the locals of the region can conveniently perform their banking activities before going to work.
In the business district areas, on the other hand, the branches and outlets open at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m., because in these areas the bank caters to the needs of the business houses, corporations and traders, who usually avail of banking services during these hours.
Opening of the administrative offices before the other branches will help ensure speedy and timely support to the branches.
