Employee performance and productivity play an important role at any workplace. Minor factors, such as no-clutter, good lighting, better infrastructure and a fun environment can go a long way in facilitating efficiency at work.

FreeCharge, the digital platform for recharge and utility payments, which started its journey from a small two BHK in Bengaluru, has now shifted to a new 22,115 sq. ft. office at Indira Nagar, Bengaluru.

The new office, which has been creatively designed by graffiti artists, in consultation with the employees, claims to be a cool and quirky one. It resonates the startup’s ideology of collaboration and conversations, which leads to great innovation.

The new office is spacious, more vibrant with state-of-the-art-facilities allowing more movement within the office.

In conversation with HRKatha, the company spokesperson says that the five meeting rooms will have an aura of inspiration and leadership, motivating employees each day.

A wall in each meeting room carries a water colour painting of an eminent personality, from the fields of sports, music, business, literature, politics, science, etc. ,for instance, cricketer, Rahul Dravid; poet and philosopher, Rabindra Nath Tagore; musician, A.R. Rahman; leader and scientist, late Dr APJ Kalam, and business tycoon, JRD Tata.

These inspirational figures represent leadership, triumph and resilience. More importantly, they have had humble beginnings, in line with the core values of FreeCharge, thus making it a perfect blend.

Kunal Shah, CEO and co-founder, FreeCharge, says, “Our offices have always been a reflection of what we are — humble, passionate and fearless. Our brand new office further amplifies these values. A large portion of the space was designed by our own people, which makes it even more special. We are phenomenally excited to embark on this new adventure — this time with a bigger, bolder, swankier canvas.”

Employee performance and productivity plays an important role at any workplace. Minor factors such as no-clutter, good lighting, better infrastructure and a fun environment are few elements, which support efficiency at work.

The office is a perfect amalgamation of open spaces and informal seating areas, allowing a relaxed atmosphere and opportunities for ideas to flow freely and employees to collaborate effectively.
