Hyundai Motor India has introduced and implemented a redesigned and collaboratively developed organisational structure to enhance its vision of ‘Progress for Humanity’. This new transformation is aimed at making the organisation future ready at a whole 360-level and will help employees to grow and excel on their professional journey.
The new structure is aimed at streamlining company responsibilities, along with promoting agile work networks, creating opportunities to showcase talent, and offering flexible career paths that facilitate continuous learning.
Expressing his thoughts on the milestone transformation, Unsoo Kim, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India highlighted how the programme will support each employee in realising their full potential through agile experiences, immersive learning, and accelerated development opportunities. This reflects Hyundai’s belief in a future filled with limitless possibilities and guides its path towards progress for humanity. He also adds, “This affirms our belief in a future with infinite possibilities and helps charter our course, ensuring progress for humanity.”
Speaking on the initiative, Charles JS Walter, assistant vice president and vertical head-HR, Hyundai Motor India, explained how it’s going to work through the organisation. All employees have been successfully transitioned to updated ‘Responsibility-Levels,’ ‘Bands,’ and now carry a reflective ‘Market Designation’ within the newly designed organisation. He also mentioned that with the program’s implementation, the company is proud to have reached a significant milestone by establishing a forward-thinking organisational structure and the supportive Leadership Excellence Academy (LEAD).
The organisation completed the programme with valuable contributions and assistance provided by Deloitte India. On the successful implementation, the company expressed immense pride. Sathish Gopalaiah, president- consulting, Deloitte South Asia, expressed his sentiments and stated that Deloitte actively supports organisations in various sectors as they undertake transformative endeavours to navigate the ever-changing business landscape.
He also noted that the automotive industry, in particular, is known for its rapid advancements, and collaborating with Hyundai, who are pioneers in enhancing their products, systems, and people processes, has been an exceptional opportunity for them.
