    NTPC is hiring engineers for 70 vacancies

    National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is welcoming applications from diploma engineers on its official website, to fill 70 vacancies.

    The recruitment drive will be concluded on December 12. The selected candidates will undergo training for two years at the NTPC coal mining sites.

    In order to be selected, the candidates will have to first take a two-stage online test. The first stage will comprise 120 multiple choice questions to test the aptitude of the candidates. The second stage will assess the technical skills of the candidates. The passing marks for both tests is 40 per cent. For the candidates from the reserved category, however, the passing mark is 30 per cent.

    The maximum age for the applicants can’t be more than 25 years and the date will be calculated from December 12 onwards. Applicants should have a full-time diploma in their respective fields with at least 70 per cent marks.

    The candidates will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs 24,000 per month and upon completion of the two-year training period, they will be absorbed.

    Stage one of the online aptitude test will be held in the first week of January, while the second stage will be held in the first week of February, 2021. These dates are tentative and subject to change.

    The candidates will also need to execute a service agreement bond of Rs 1 lakh with GST for general category and Rs 50,000 (+GST) for SC/ST/PwBD for serving the company for a minimum period of three years, after completing the mandatory training period.
