Law firm Osborne Clarke has announced significant changes to its bonus eligibility requirements starting in 2024. To qualify for a bonus, employees will be required to physically come into the workplace at least three times a week. The firm outlines specific criteria for bonus consideration, including training completion, goal achievement, and contributing to broader initiatives. However, Osborne Clarke acknowledges exceptions for those unable to meet the in-office requirement due to valid reasons.
Emphasising the importance of in-office work, Graham de Guise, chief people officer, Osborne Clarke, highlights the various benefits it brings, such as relationship building, collaboration, idea sharing and preserving the company’s unique culture. In addition to the bonus changes, the firm also plans to introduce a discretionary long-term incentive plan with a bonus of up to 40% paid over a three-year period.
The company has also enhanced other employee benefits, including profit-sharing, long-service awards, and health-related support.
Alongside the bonus adjustments, Osborne Clarke provides an extensive range of employee benefits, including critical illness cover, private medical insurance, income protection, life assurance, virtual GP services, dental cover, and more. The firm also offers a car leasing scheme, bikes-for-work program, employee assistance programme, shared parental leave, gym discounts, fertility, reproductive and sexual health support, and many other perks to support their employees’ well-being.
