In an effort to prioritise wellbeing of its employees, Tata Steel has taken a significant stride through the introduction of a comprehensive wellness portal and associated apps. By empowering employees to prioritise their health and well-being, Tata Steel aims to foster an environment where individuals can thrive both personally and professionally.
The ‘Wellness for Life’ portal signifies the initial phase of Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting wellness. It introduces two apps, ‘WELLSPRING’ and ‘The Wellness Corner,’ accessible through the portal. These apps serve as comprehensive platforms enabling employees to assess, monitor and enhance their health.
The Wellness Corner offers a holistic solution encompassing daily wellness activity tracking, personalised coaching programmes, Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), therapies, guided meditations, and diet/nutrition programs. It provides valuable recommendations to foster and sustain a healthy lifestyle.
Additionally, Tata Steel’s in-house Wellness app, Wellspring, serves as a digital platform promoting a culture of health and well-being with various features.
Tata Steel’s commitment to holistic employee wellness is deeply ingrained in its organisational ethos. Aligned with its vision, the company recognises that employee well-being is integral to collective success.
The unveiling ceremony was officiated by Rajeev Mangal, vice president of safety, health & sustainability, Tata Steel, in the presence of Sanjeev Chaudhary, president, Tata Workers’ Union, Probal Ghosh, vice president-shared services, Tata Steel.
