    Anant Goenka appointed vice chairman, RPG Group

    The RPG Group has announced Anant Goenka as the vice chairman of its diversified organisation.

    In this expanded role, Goenka will maintain his positions as the vice chairman of CEAT and Zensar Technologies, thereby fortifying the leadership within the group. This strategic move ensures stability and long-term continuity for the Group, which is highly regarded for its commitment to corporate governance and a people-friendly value system.

    Harsh Goenka, chairman, RPG Group, expressed his confidence in Anant’s abilities, emphasising his extensive experience in steering CEAT towards performance excellence over the past decade. He believes that Goenka is well-equipped to usher in a new era of growth for the RPG Group, especially in a time marked by rapidly evolving technology. The senior Goenka praised young Goenka’s business acumen and aptitude for driving change to adapt to evolving technologies, markets and consumer preferences.

    An alumnus of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, Anant Goenka began his career by heading specialty tyres at CEAT. He held various roles at KEC International between 2007 and 2010, eventually becoming the deputy managing director, CEAT from 2012 onwards. He briefly served as the chairman, ATMA India from 2018 to 2019 and currently holds the position of vice chairman at Zensar Technologies.

    During his tenure as managing director and CEO at CEAT, which spanned over a decade, the tyre company underwent a significant transformation in terms of branding, production and technology.
