The H Dubai has appointed Sultan Baddar as its new director-human resources. In this new role, Baddar will be responsible for various tasks such as enhancing staff morale, devising creative recruitment approaches, and championing diversity and inclusion efforts to establish a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
Bringing a wealth of experience of over two decades, Baddar assumes the role with comprehensive experience in hospitality. He is known for his strategic methods in human capital planning. Furthermore, his expertise lies in acquiring talent, fostering learning and development, exhibiting leadership and facilitating team building.
Commencing his hospitality career in Amman in 2000, he has since occupied pivotal roles in well-known international hotel chains. Some of the chains include, Millenium Hotels and Resorts; Anantara Hotels, Resorts, and Spas; Movenpick Hotels and Resorts; InterContinental Hotels Group; and Accor.
Prior to joining H Dubai, Baddar held the position of cluster director, talent and culture, at Accor for four years. In this role, he supervised and guided a team comprising 200 members.
His longest stint was with InterContinental Hotels Group being associated with the group for over 10 years. He joined the group in 1999 as its training manager.
Baddar holds a degree in applied educational sciences from the University of Jordan.
Baddar expressed excitement about joining The H Dubai, emphasising the hotel’s commitment to HR and staff support. He believes that his expertise will positively impact the HR team, with particular focus on talent management, including succession planning and career development for all employees.
