Acko, the insurance technology company, has moved to a new office in Bengaluru. Spread over 87000 square feet, this spacious office will soon see more than a 100 new hires in a year’s time.

Its present workforce is 350 strong, and the Company is looking to add at least a 100 more Ackers— which is the name given to the employees of Acko— in various functions, especially technology talent.

Reflective of the organisation’s open work culture, the spacious and airy new office offers the best facilities, including open spaces, a big terrace and cricket pitch, as well as lots of natural light.

Acko has backing from Amazon, Accel, Catamaran Ventures, SAIF Partners, and Swiss Re Transamerica Ventures.

Less than three months ago, the insurance technology company had expanded its management team. Four new senior managers were taken on in the human resources, marketing, partnerships, and operations-claims functions. In July, Bhupendra Joshi was appointed the head of the talent function, followed by Ashwin Ramaswamy, as the head of partnerships, and Kavita Chowkimane as VP- marketing. In addition, Brijesh Unnithan was appointed head-operations-claims.

The Company also provides personalised underwriting, micro insurance products, and automated micro claims process.

Last month, Acko entered into a collaboration with ZestMoney, a consumer lending fintech company, to help it cover its installment payments during contingencies.

Not long ago, Oyo, the hospitality firm had also collaborated with Acko General Insurance to offer complimentary insurance cover to all the guests at booking price, at all Oyo properties in the country.
