Vodafone Idea (VIL) has been facing financial difficulties for some time now, and the loss of subscribers is just one of the many challenges the company is facing. The news of an employee exodus is another blow to the company, as the loss of experienced and skilled employees can have a significant impact on the company’s operations and future growth. The loss of sales employees, in particular, could have a direct effect on the company’s ability to attract new subscribers and retain existing ones.
In an effort to fill the vacancies left by the departing employees, VIL has listed 986 positions on LinkedIn, spanning various sales and managerial roles. The company is looking to hire sales executives, territory sales representatives, area sales managers, retention and collection field executives, mass distribution executives, retail store managers, and other managerial positions. However, it remains to be seen if the company will be able to attract and retain the right talent to fill these roles, given the current financial state of the company.
In addition, VIL has been facing criticism for its advertising practices, with some retailers attached to the company advertising that users who port to ‘Vi 5G’ will get one month’s recharge free. This is despite the fact that the company has not officially launched 5G yet. This type of misleading advertising is not helping the company’s reputation, and it is important for VIL to address this issue and ensure transparency with their advertising practices in order to regain the trust of the public.
