Building on its point-to-point mobility service, leading car rental service provider, Avis India has announced the launch of its Avis Secure Shuttle service. The Avis Secure Shuttle Service is accessible across India, providing customers and office-goers looking for a pick-up and drop-off service, a safe traveling experience in this post lockdown COVID-19 era.

The announcement comes soon after Avis India resumed its self-drive and chauffeur driven services across 19 cities last month. With Avis Secure Shuttle Service, a commuter can choose to travel a distance of 15-45 km on a daily basis. The Avis Secure Shuttle Service also offers special packages for its daily commuters, traveling from home to the workplace and vice-versa.

Speaking on the launch, Sunil Gupta, MD & CEO, Avis India commented, “The launch of Avis Secure Shuttle Service supports our brand’s commitment to provide a safe, clean and comfortable car rental experience. As the economy begins to reopen, we are emphasising safety, trust and empathy in all of our actions. We believe renting a vehicle will be an attractive alternative to other forms of transportation as travel activities resume. We have enhanced our cleaning protocols, including utilising disinfectant effective against human coronavirus, including novel pathogens such as the one responsible for COVID-19.

“Car rental is a clean and safe form of transportation. We have a strong legacy of providing clean vehicles and improving the customer experience. In times of uncertainty, with our Avis Secure Shuttle Service, office-goers can count on us to get them wherever they need to go both safely and conveniently. Our primary focus has always been and remains the health and well-being of our employees, chauffeurs, and customers.”

Avis India has enhanced its safety and cleaning protocols, sanitising its vehicles on a daily-basis.Particular attention is paid to high-contact surfaces, both inside and outside of the car, such as seats, steering wheels, and door handles. It is mandatory for Avis chauffeurs to wear face masks at all times. Employees, chauffeurs, and customers are scanned with infrared thermometers at the main gate itself. Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 are not allowed to enter Avis premises; thereby ensuring maximum security for both our employees and customers.
