3i Infotech, the Mumbai-headquartered global information tech firm, is planning to expand its newly set up BPS division in HITEC City, Hyderabad by at least 500 members. It is gearing up to hire more than 500 in the next two months.

In the first phase, 3i Infotech will hire local talent from within Hyderabad to serve its regional and market-specific clients. Later, it will expand to other geographies and markets.

The BPS divisions will offer services in the areas of application, automation and analytics services (AAA), either inhouse or through partnerships. It will cater to customers across retail, e-commerce, telecom, BFSI, media & entertainment, manufacturing and other domains.

The hiring will take place via social and digital platforms, referral programmes and other offline initiatives.

With the pandemic accelerating the digitalisation process at organisations, Thompson P. Gnanam, managing director & global CEO, 3i Infotech informs that “3i Infotech’s BPS arm has come up with a unique technology-led solution that is poised to become a game changer and a disruptor in the outsourcing space, both domestic and international.”

Among the unique differentiators it has introduced under the BPS division are: Smart Hire – Intelligent Recruitment Platform to identify the right skill and the agent for the role; Automated Quality Monitoring that uses ‘Speech to Text’ that does 100 per cent audits of calls; a Work Force Management platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), to drive the overall KPIs; a virtual coach which adopts the behavioural traits of agents and provides real-time nudges for higher outcome and finally an ADDIE-based training framework that enables training ‘on the go’ with a globally-accepted digital-training platform that provides higher output.

Amitabh Vartak, senior vice president & global delivery head, BPS, 3i Infotech is confident that “this investment into our new facility in the tech hub of Hyderabad, will open up several avenues, and will create an ecosystem where talent, innovation and newer possibilities emerge”. He looks forward to the new hires largely benefitting from “our work culture that reflects agility, passion, empathy, openness and inventiveness and where ideas are nurtured from inception to implementation.”
