EngageRocket, a startup based in Singapore, that provides workplace analytics, just closed a phase of funding at S$450,000. Founded by former consultants Leong Chee Tung, ex-director Gallup Southeast Asia, and Dorothy Yiu ,ex-head, Gallup, Southeast Asia operations, the startup is the first in Southeast Asia to receive capital assistance for the use of advanced analytical techniques in HR.

The Company offers a cloud-based software that analyses employee feedback in real-time. It automates the administration and analytics on which the employee surveys are based. On the basis of the results, suggestions can be identified for improving the leadership approach.

At a time when companies, such as Google and Amazon have started the practice of conducting short and frequent employee surveys, EngageRocket’s offering is well timed. While organisations are opening up to regular surveys that allow them to regulate behaviours and programmes based on employees’ feedback, EngageRocket will only facilitate this analysis for all companies.

The capital raised by the startup will be used to pace up product development and scale up operations to fulfil local demand. The Company has brought out the first module on employee engagement, and is already successfully catering to over 50 clients across Southeast Asia, with the help of a small team of 15 full-time and contract workers.

While the startup hopes to increase the number of team members before long, it also expects to expand regionally by 2019.
