All workers had a break from Saturday, 2 December 2023, to Monday, 4 December 2023, and resumed work on Tuesday, 5 December 2023.
Moreover, the public sector got an extended weekend with an additional remote-working day on Friday, 1 December, 2023.
In a joint effort to enhance the quality of the workforce and education system, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, along with the Ministry of Education in the UAE, unveiled a new work permit specifically designed for private teachers on 18 December 2023.
This permit allows teachers to offer private tutoring outside regular school hours, aiming to improve students’ learning experiences in private schools. The initiative establishes regulations for tutoring beyond the classroom setting, empowering qualified professionals to provide individual or group lessons.
