Six female SVPs appointed at Cognizant to empower diversity

Cognizant has made significant strides in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment under the leadership of Ravi Kumar S, CEO, who joined the company in January 2023. In addition to focusing on key business priorities, Ravi has emphasised the importance of cultivating a workforce that reflects the diversity of the world we live in, particularly in leadership positions.

Cognizant has recently announced six noteworthy appointments of women leaders to senior vice president roles, which include both promotions and new hires. These appointments signify the company’s commitment to advancing diversity at all levels of the organisation. Kumar expressed his enthusiasm for these appointments and highlighted the need for diversity to be integrated into every aspect of the talent management process, from recruitment to retention.

Elisa de Rocca-Serra, who has been working with Cognizant since 2021, has been elevated to SVP of EMEA General Counsel and Contract Lifecycle Risk Management (CLRM). In this expanded capacity, she will oversee commercial risk management across the entire client contract lifecycle.

Thea Hayden has been named SVP, global marketing, leading a team responsible for creating engaging content to reach global audiences and bolster the Cognizant brand.

Patricia (Trish) Hunter-Dennehy’s promotion to SVP of the healthcare provider/payor business unit entails overseeing various aspects of healthcare administration in the U.S., including revenue cycle management and healthcare delivery.

Sailaja Josyula’s promotion to SVP of intuitive operations and automation (IOA) for the BFSI industry includes responsibilities for North America and global delivery, along with heading the Hyderabad delivery centre, one of Cognizant’s largest centres.

Archana Ramanakumar, who rejoined Cognizant on July 5, assumed the role of SVP of industry solutions group (ISG), leveraging her previous experience at LTI and LTI Mindtree.

Sandra Natardonato, a seasoned veteran of the IT services industry, joined Cognizant on July 17 as SVP of Partnerships and Alliances. She will contribute  to the growth of the company’s partnership and alliance ecosystem.

These appointments underscore Cognizant’s commitment to building a strong and diverse organisation, ensuring a brighter and more inclusive future for the company and its employees.
