Majid Ali Khan has been named as the new director of HR and head of talent acquisition at Alorica, which is a provider of advanced customer experience solutions globally. Backed with 19 years experience in HR, Khan has been instrumental in establishing and expanding businesses at both the global and India levels.
Before joining Alorica, Khan was associated with InfoCepts as their global head-talent acquisition. He was responsible for InfoCepts’s global talent acquisition strategy, while leading a global team of TA leads and TA professionals to acquire niche talent in various tech fields.
As the director of HR at Alorica, Khan has taken on the responsibility of addressing all talent attraction and acquisition requirements in the India region. He will be overseeing the expansion of Alorica’s operations in India by addressing the company’s talent requirements, while also managing internal mobility opportunities and recruiting new talent from the market at all levels of the organisation.
Khan’s prior experience includes serving as the global head of talent acquisition at various well-known organisations, including Mphasis , Aditya Birla Group’s Minacs, Religare, CAPITA, Hewlett-Packard (formerly EDS), Tata BSSL, and InfoCepts.
His longest stint was with Mphasis, where he was associated with the company for over 8 years. He joined the company in May 2014 as its senior manager HR and talent acquisition leader. He essayed the role successfully for close to 5 years and led the talent acquisition function for India region, along with managing multiple business units across domains and technologies. He was then elevated to the role of AVP-HR and talent acquisition head in April 2019 and spearheaded the talent acquisition strategy across various functions. In April 2020 he was elevated to the role of head-TA for India and Europe region.
Khan earned his MBA degree from Pune University and his undergraduate degree from Ness Wadia College in Pune. He is a certified HR professional with COPC HPMT credentials and has obtained certification in competency-based recruitment methodology and behavioural interviewing skills and techniques through Chrysalis HRD.
