Sameer Rajpal has taken up the role of human capital leader at Bert Labs, the global AI-IoT powered deep tech company. Rajpal makes this move after serving as chief people officer at Kotak Education Foundation for about four and a half years.
Backed by two decades of experience, Rajpal began his professional journey with Wipro Infotech, where he joined as assistant manager – training, in 2002. Five years later, he was promoted to regional training manager, Mumbai Area.
By April 2010, he was the learning solutions manager at Wipro, responsible for learning solutions practice for India and the Middle East.
During the four years in this role, he was consulted on various aspects of learning and development such as training-need identification, competency mapping, change management, tenure management, and so on. He even led the change-management programme for Karnataka State Police for DSP and above ranks. He handled the women’s empowerment programme ‘Mahara’ for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia government.
From 2014 to 2017, he served as head – human resource development at Simplified IT Solutions – MIS. Based out of Mumbai Area, he was responsible for managing entire employee life cycle, hire to retire, as per the Company’s policies and processes. He also aligned the HR function with the business objectives of the organisation.
His next stop was Kotak Education Foundation, where he joined as chief people officer in 2017. For over four years, he successfully oversaw strategic and core HR and learning & development functions of the Company, including managing the HR life cycle of the organisation and taking care of the entire HR operations of the Company.
For a brief period, Rajpal was also involved in the digitisation of the competency framework at Reliance Industries, and ensured its integration with relevant HR processes, as a consultant.
At Bert Labs, Rajpal will work closely with the CEO and chief growth officer and technology leaders to identify the requirements of new talent. He will also handle their induction, training and empowerment through best people practices, so that Bert Labs becomes an employer of choice.
Rajpal’s responsibility will be to help build the brand and align the vision and strategy with research, even while planning and implementing the best talent-acquisition practices.

The five-year old Bert Labs aims to solve the world’s challenges by ensuring efficient use of available resources through its patented AI-IoT powered Bert Platform Solution. The platform hopes to grow at 500 per cent YOY to become a US$ 1 billion revenue company, leading to US IPO in 2025-26.
