Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals has named Dr D Prasanth Nair as its new chief human resources officer. Nair brings with him over two decades of experience and will be strengthening the company’s overall employee experience, including talent management as well as the diversity and inclusion (DEI)  initiatives.

Prior to joining Crompton Greaves, Nair has worked with many leading Indian and multinational companies, including the RPG Group. He has also headed the HR function for Thomas Cook and Cipla.

Nair’s expertise lies in talent development, change management, coaching, counselling as well as embedding technology in HR. Over the years, he has helped in developing talent, facilitating their growth, and driving the digitisation of HR. He has also ensured that the organisation and the HR are aligned with the core business strategy, so as to boost innovation and productivity.

Nair is looking forward to the new responsibilities, having  been a keen admirer of the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and social responsibility. He looks forward to “working with our employees and leadership team to build a culture that fosters innovation, collaboration, and employee engagement and to ensure that Crompton continues to be a great place to work and grow.”

Having obtained a doctorate in HR from IIM Ahmedabad, Nair also holds a bachelor’s degree in technology (BTech) from Calicut University. His areas of interest include delving into the intricacies of artificial Intelligence (AI), exploring new-age startups, studying mathematics and contemplating spirituality.
