The Coca-Cola Company has elevated Drew Fernandez to vice president and head – HR, Europe operating unit. Fernandez, who has been with The Coca-Cola Company since 2019, had joined as vice president and chief people officer, Coca-Cola Beverages, Philippines.

An alumnus of Ateneo de Manila University, Fernandez began his career with Unilever, as assistant manager – recruitment, reward and employee relations, in 2004. Within seven months he was elevated to brand assistant manager – foods. By the time he left Unilever 14 years later, in 2018, he had become global head of human resources, Unilever Food Solutions.

He moved to Sitel in 2018, as chief human resources officer – Asia Pacific. He led the overall HR function, based out of Manila, Philippines, and was responsible for around 25,000 associates across multiple countries in the region and around 100 HR professionals. He was part of the Asia Pacific executive leadership team with full P&L responsibility.

He successfully overlooked the overall transformation of Sitel and headed a cross-functional team to deliver future capabilities, facilitate fast track expansion and help achieve the company’s growth goals.

When he moved to Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines in 2019, he led the HR function as a member of the senior leadership team, and was responsible for 16,000 associates and 300 HR professionals across our 100 sites in the Philippines.

Drew is known to be a great speaker and passionate about creating a sustainable environment for change and innovation.
