New-age investment platform, Grip Invest has appointed Nimisha Dua as vice president- HR. With the inclusion of Dua in a key people-management role, Grip Invest will focus on driving leadership development, workforce design & productivity, employee engagement, talent management, as well as learning & people capabilities. Dua will further help scale up the remote-first culture embedded in the organisation.

Interestingly, Dua did not begin her career in the people management space. In 2009, she joined Agrotech Foods as a brand marketing executive. In 2012, this alumna of the London School of Economics and Political Science, pursued an MSc in international employment relations and human resource management. She only switched to a human resources role in 2013, after completing her education. She joined ConAgra Foods as HR manager-organisational development. Two years into the role, the US-based food and beverages company elevated her to the role of head- OD, talent, learning and development.

She worked with ConAgra till 2021, before switching to a consulting role with management consulting company, Samriddhi Consulting. There, she headed the production design – people capability function for the company.

Dua is excited to join Grip “at a time when Fintech as an industry is rapidly expanding”. She will work “to make Grip a people and technology-focused high-performing work organisation and an employer of choice driven by its culture”.

Admitting that the “world of work is rapidly transforming”, Dua is sure that “HR is going to continue to play a significant role in how organisations function and thrive in this new world, with their people being the source of their competitive edge.”
