Piramal Finance ropes in Hena Raina as its new chief information officer (CIO). Raina is a seasoned professional, backed with over two decades of experience in financial services. She has also been at the forefront of driving sustainable business growth through strategic offerings and delivering IT solutions across operations.

Raina has held leadership positions at various big companies including Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, and JP Morgan Chase, driving the businesses towards sustainable growth. She has led several critical technology initiatives and has extensive functional experience in both investment and private banking domains.

Raina’s expertise lies in technology strategy and execution, and she is passionate about technology advancements. She is also an expert in delivering IT solutions across business, technology, and operations.

Her longest stint was with Goldman Sachs, where she was associated with the company for a good 7 years. She held the position of technology lead and was an integral part of the cross-institutional forums. Raina created and implemented strategic solutions for collateral and margin business, leading to $5M in savings at the bank, increasing the process efficiency to 95%.

Raina’s selection coincides with a period when Piramal Finance is making noteworthy progress in broadening its scope and creating novel approaches for the Bharat market (Tier II and III cities of India). The organisation has also made significant investments in enhancing its technology and analytics capabilities to expand its operations by introducing ‘Piramal Innovation Lab’ in Bengaluru.
