More than six successful years at Pernod Ricard as general manager-HR, and Ranjeeka Sachdev has chosen to move on to Jaquar to take on the CHRO role.

Backed by over two decades of experience, this alumna of International Management Institute began her professional journey with Maruti Udyog as an intern way back in 2001. Her first major break came in 2002, when she joined Yamaha Motor as manager-HR. There, for three years, she looked in recruitment and compensation; training and development, as well as the performance management system, based out of Faridabad.

In 2005, she joined Gap Inc. as associate manager-HR. Two years into this role, she switched to Pernod Ricard as senior human resources manager, based out of Gurugram. For five years, she was involved in revamping the performance-management process and even rolled out the National Employee Engagement Tool. During this stint, she was also chairperson of the ‘Prevention of Women Against Sexual Harassment’ committee. In 2012, she became head of HR, commercial, for Pernod Ricard India. She was responsible for establishing the sales HR vertical, looking into talent acquisition and retention, career and succession planning, employee development, compensation and performance management, employee relations and corporate social responsibility among others.

August of 2017 saw her being elevated to the position of general manager-HR. Among other responsibilities, she was looking into diversity and inclusion, talent management, learning and development as well as rewards and recognition for South Asia.

Passionate about transforming talent and business from a ‘future of work’ and ’future of business’ perspective, Sachdev is sure to be an asset to Jaquar, the bathroom and lighting solutions company. HRKatha wishes her luck!
