    Ranjith Premraj has been appointed director, people & culture, Four Seasons Hotel, Bengaluru which will be inaugurated in the city sometime in the middle of this year.

    Premraj has been with the Four Seasons brand for more than 13 years, serving in various capacities in different locations. The Bengaluru property would be his seventh.

    He joined as human resources manager in 2006, and as a core member of the pre-opening team of the Hotel in Mumbai, at a time when the brand was trying to establish itself in the Indian subcontinent. He also served at Four Seasons Hotel, Singapore where he was exposed to the Hotel’s culture and style of working. He has experience of working with the Hotel’s properties in the Maldives, Dubai and UAE as well.

    Before entering the Four Seasons, Premraj was working as senior human resources executive at the Intercontinental Marine Drive. It is here that he first learnt the ropes of the hospitality industry and its functioning. Here, he gained experience in not just screening applicants and conducting interviews, but also preparing offer letters and handling joining formalities. He was also responsible for training of new recruits, coordinating with external trainers, hiring freshers, managing their rotations, and so on. He learnt all about general administration, including employee opinion surveys, filing, payroll management, attendance management, statutory compliances, as well as employee relations during this stint.

    Premraj holds a master’s degree in business administration with a specialisation in human resources from Manipal Academy of Higher Education India.

    His areas of expertise include training & development, employee relations and recruitment. He excels in carrying and promoting the culture of the organisation in this people-centric Group of hotels.
