After spending almost eight years with Cummins India, Ritesh Joshi has joined Gilbarco Veeder Root India, a Vontier Group company, as head – HR.
Armed with an MBA from Savitribai Phule Pune University and PGCHRM from XLRI Jamshedpur, Joshi has spent over 15 years of his over two decades long career journey in end-to-end HR/IR functions.
Joshi began his career with Mahindra & Mahindra, as deputy manager, manufacturing, in 1997. After about 11 years, he became manager – training, in 2006. He spent slightly less than 13 successful years at Mahindra.
From 2008 to 2010, he worked with General Motors as manager – HR.
It was in 2010 that he joined Cummins India (Engine Business) as DGM, human resources. For a little over two years, he handled end to end HR, including manpower planning, recruitment, performance management system, organizational development, training and development, compensation & benefit, and employee engagement. In 2012, he became HR leader, Cummins Generator Technologies India leading HR , IR and admin,. for multiple plant locations. The year 2013 saw him essaying the role of HR leader at Cummins Power Generation India. Three years later, he was elevated to HR leader, Cummins Components Segment and Labour Relations Leader India. By 2017, he donned the hat of labour relation director – HR, a role he successfully held for over three years. From March 2021 onwards, he had been serving as labour relations leader, India, China and Asia Pacific, for Cummins Inc.
Joshi has managed to serve as strategic business partner to general and upper management, providing guidance on how to best drive employee engagement and productivity while limiting the legal risk exposure through strong knowledge of employment law.
