An alumna of Hindu College, Delhi University, Vaid completed an MBA in HR from International Management Institute in 1999. Thereafter, she began her corporate journey with short stints at Ernst & Young, Arthur Andersen and Aviva India in the period 1999 to 2004.

Her next stop was MetLife, where she joined as country head – HR in 2007. Three years into this role, she was elevated to global talent management and eventually became Asia talent management lead in 2012.

After a successful tenure of almost six and a half years at MetLife, Vaid switched to Bharti AXA General Insurance as chief human resource officer and corporate responsibility officer.

January of 2016 saw Vaid moving once again, to a different industry. She joined Arvind Fashions as CHRO.
