Sterlite Power, a power transmission developer and solutions provider in India and Brazil, has appointed Ruhie Pande as its new group chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective 10 October, 2023. Pande was earlier driving the HR strategy for Godrej Capital as its CHRO.

In this new role, Pande will spearhead the entire gamut of human resources at Sterlite Power including strategy, talent and culture priorities. She will work closely with Pratik Agarwal, managing director of the group.

Backed by over two decades of experience in HR, Pande held leadership roles in many organisations. She joined Godrej Capital in June 2019 after serving as the CHRO at Godrej Properties for over two years.

Over the years, Pande has worked with some of the notable companies in India across sectors such as financial services, real estate, fashion retail, information technology and FMCG.

She has also worked with many big names such as Marico, ITC, Reliance Brands, NIIT, and Mahindra & Mahindra.

Welcoming Pande and commenting on her appointment, Pratik Agarwal, managing director, Sterlite Power, expressed his excitement. “Ruhie’s commitment to excellence, her domain expertise, and people-first approach aligns well with our core values,” he added.

Pande herself expressed her gratitude and commitment towards making the company a better place by bringing green electricity. “I am committed to ensuring that our people are equipped with the best resources and opportunities to contribute to the company’s mission and nurturing a culture that will drive both people and organisational growth,” she said.

An alumna of Birkbeck College, London, she holds holds an MSc in industrial and organisational psychology. She also holds a master’s degree in human resources from Symbiosis Centre for Learning and Development.
