Swaraj Tractors, a farm equipment-making division owned by Mahindra & Mahindra, has elevated Aarun Raghav to the role of vice president-human resources, admin and CSR. He assumed his new role starting August 1, 2023.

Raghav has been a part of the company for close to four years. He joined Swaraj in February 2020 as its head of employee relations (ER), admin and CSR. His focus was to oversee long-term agreements, issues pertaining to the blue-collar workforce and capacity building. He also provided support to the manufacturing plants and their workforce-related matters.

With this role enhancement, Raghav will assume the role of senior human resources development professional (SHRBP) along with current responsibilities. He will be managing various functions, including sales and finance, in addition to the primary functions.

Raghav, who is a law graduate from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, holds a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. He is a seasoned HR professional with over two decades of experience in FMCG. He has worked with various organisations such as Nestle, ITC, Avon, Schnieder Electric and Duke Fashions.

His longest stint was with ITC, where he served for nine years as the divisional manager-human resources. He joined the company in June 2008 as its human resource manager. His primary focus was on building employee relations. After his successful stint with ITC, Raghav moved to Luminous in May 2017, makers of industrial batteries and inverters, acquired by Schneider Electric. He headed the human resource department for various businesses for close to three years before moving to Swaraj Tractors.
