The conference had industry leaders talking on some of the most pertinent questions in HR today and also on topics like ‘Competencies in Digital Workplaces’ and ‘HR Analytics’ over two days. Some of the prominent attendees included SK Dutt, president, Group HR – ABG Group; Abhijit Bahaduri, chief learning officer, Wipro; T Shivaram, director, HR, SAP Labs India and Pankaj Bansal, CEO, People Strong.

Father E Abraham, director, XLRI said about the conference, “Human Resources Management plays a key role in the success and performance of a company. HRM encompasses strategic management of the employees, who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the organisation. Today, in this era of digital evolution, it is essential for human resources professionals to realise the impact of the fast-paced, ever-changing digitalisation in their jobs and workplaces – not only today, but in the future as well. In this 7th National HR Conference, we look forward to deliberate and shed light on the new directions and developing trends within the HR domain across industries in the light of the digital boom”.

XLRI also launched its 2nd National HR Survey at the conference.

Other activities planned for the event were a B-school quiz league “Battle HRoyale” featuring the finalists of similar contests from leading B-schools.

In addition to the presentation of research papers by students and schools providing further insight into the theme of “Social HR and Technological Applications in HR”, the conference also saw the launch of XLRI’s annual HR magazine, Synapse.
