In response to the Delhi government’s request, companies throughout Delhi-NCR have implemented a work-from-home policy for their employees. Offices located in Delhi and other nearby areas including Noida and Gurugram will offer work-from home option to their employees following the upcoming G20 Summit.

Furthermore, the Delhi government has issued a directive for all government and private offices, banks and commercial businesses, including markets, to remain closed in the city from 8 to 10 September 2023.This is to ensure that the visiting delegates have a smooth stay and a memorable experience.

Specific metro stations will either be closed or will operate with restricted capacity. Metro stations such as Khan Market, Janpath, Supreme Court and Bhikaji Cama Place have been designated as restricted entry points by the Delhi Police metro unit as part of the security arrangements.

The country will be hosting the G20 Summit in New Delhi during the period September 9-10. Many company leaders have expressed their cooperation in ensuring that the Summit is a huge success, as it is a source of national pride.

Of course, many organisations are concerned about the potential difficulties that employees may have to face while commuting to work. Therefore, they have already asked their teams to avail of the work-from-home option.

The G20 Summit will witness participation from 29 heads of state, along with high-ranking officials from the European Union, invited guest nations, and 14 leaders of international organisations.
