Cultivating Leadership, a global organisation focused on leadership development, has partnered with The Core Questin, a Delhi-based consultancy, to establish a presence in India.

The collaboration aims to address the increasing complexity faced by leaders in the country by combining globally developed frameworks with insights tailored to the Indian market.

The partnership will establish a new entity, trading as Cultivating Leadership, with directors from both organisations overseeing its operations. The initiative will provide leadership tools and experiences grounded in theories of adult development and complexity, which have been tested with organisations worldwide. The focus includes developing leadership skills to manage uncertainty and interconnected challenges while fostering resilience within teams.

The move follows broader discussions on global complexity, as highlighted by studies such as the Global Risk Report 2024. Challenges such as climate change, geopolitical conflicts, and rapid technological advances have highlighted gaps in leadership readiness, especially in understanding and addressing interconnected risks.

Indian leaders face unique challenges such as managing a diverse workforce, leveraging technology, and navigating economic uncertainty. This joint venture seeks to equip leaders with frameworks and strategies to adapt to these conditions. Leadership development initiatives will include career tools and methods to align organisational goals with the dynamic external environment.

Shweta Anand Arora, CEO, The Core Questin, emphasised the critical need for such an initiative, noting that traditional problem-solving methods often fall short in today’s complex landscape.

Jennifer Garvey Berger, Co-founder and CEO, Cultivating Leadership, highlighted India’s potential as a key growth frontier and the importance of adopting a culturally nuanced approach.

The next phase of the collaboration involves strategic meetings in November and further engagements planned for early 2025 to connect with clients and stakeholders in India. The initiative reflects an effort to support Indian and multinational organisations in building leadership capacity to thrive in complex conditions.
