Fancy perks and benefits Apple employees enjoy

From paid time off and annual gym credit to beer bashes and product discounts, Apple has everything to entice new joinees.

Employee benefits are given high importance to attract and retain talent today. New joinees look forward to the best employee benefits. Studies have shown that the new generation workforces focus more on the culture and employee benefits of an employer than on the salary. The decision to join a company depends, to a large extent, on the benefits offered than any other factors.

So, offering employee benefits as per the expectation of the new generation and in accordance with the trend, is imperative for organisations to attract and retain talent.

Apple also offers some perks and benefits to its employees, which are very fancy and tempting. In fact, tech companies, as a norm, offer rather trendy and attractive benefits—free concert tickets, holiday packages, gym benefits, free beer, and so on.

Let us take a look at the fancy benefits Apple offers to its employees, that everybody wishes to have.

It offers 12 days of paid time off to its new hires, which increases over time. Paid time off is what everybody seeks.

Parental leave is getting more attention from employers today. Companies are transforming their culture and caring for their employees more than ever before, with a rise in parental leave, bereavement leave, period leave, and so on. At Apple, the mothers are allowed four weeks of paid leave before delivery and 14 weeks after. While the non-birth parents get six weeks of paid leave.

Focussing on the employees’ health and wellness, many companies offer gym and other health facilities to their employees. With millennials being fitness enthusiasts and very cautious of their health, the biggest lure at Apple is the $300 yearly gym credit employees are provided with.

Companies are increasingly organising parties and music events for better employee engagement. Apple organises beer bashes, where the employees are treated to free beer and appetisers. Some of the biggest names in music, such as Stevie Wonder, Demi Lovato and OneRepublic have performed at their musical events too.

Discounts on the purchase of products and services offered by the companies, is yet another benefit   employees appreciate. Apple employees get an annual discount of 25 per cent on purchase of an iPod, computer, or iPad. Also, every three years, the workers can get $250 off an iPad or $500 off a Mac. On software, the discount is 50 per cent. In addition, the families and friends of employees are also eligible for offers and discounts on specific products.
