Alt’s mobile app along with Jinie, the chatbot, will allow employees access to all touch points across HR functions

V Mart today announced its move to adopt machine learning and mobile for providing its employees, an exceptional experience at work with PeopleStrong India’s leading HR Technology Company.

With this move, V Mart will be able to provide a unified employee experience from Onboarding to Exit to all its employees – be it its retail front line workforce or the business teams in the corporate office. PeopleStrong Alt’s mobile App and Jinie (the chatbot),will also help employees to get 24X7 access touch point to HR and at the same time access to the single view of truth for right time decision making would be available to the leadership.

Speaking on the occasion, Lalit Agarwal, Managing Director, V Mart said, “As we go full throttle on our scale up plans across India, we needed an HR Technology that could not only deliver exceptional employee experience to our vastly distributed workforce but also bring predictability to our decision making through single view of Data. We found all of it in PeopleStrong Alt.”

Pankaj Bansal, Co-founder & CEO, PeopleStrong added, “It is exciting to see HR and HR Tech focus in the Retail Industry lately, especially when large part of employee base is concentrated in Tier 2 and 3 cities of India. V Mart is going to create an amazing success story of employee experience in this sector and we are delighted to partner with them.

“Retail is a very unique industry in terms of its workforce composition. ~85 per cent of the organisations’s workforce comprises of front-end store employees which are distributed across locations. The industry also faces a high attrition rate of 20% as against overall average of 13.45%; and a high absconding rate (30%) and high transfer volume (~6% per month). With this kind of HR activity, it becomes all the more important to have a robust scalable system in place. In the past few months we have seen lot of excitement in Retail Industry to adopt mobile and AI powered HR Technology. We have added over 100 thousand employees to our platform in the last quarter itself. Almost 80%% of this addition has happened in the space of core HR and workforce management including payroll and messenger (collaboration platform). “Pankaj added.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, V mart has 6000+ employees spread across 170+ stores PAN-India.

It is worth mentioning that overall HR Technology market in India is maturing rapidly and is expected to grow double its current size to be a billion dollar market by 2020.. As per a recent report*, India is slated to increase to 33% Mobile-enabled HR technology adoption in next one year.
