Accenture has launched an interactive learning platform—Accenture Future Talent Platform—to help its clients develop an IT workforce. The platform will provide talent transformation services in the areas of digital, cloud, security and artificial intelligence.

The tool has already been used by Accenture to train over 180,000 of its employees globally in new digital technologies in just 20 months. Having successfully tested it internally, now the platform has been unveiled for clients to help them run agile, intelligent businesses.

The platform connects learning services and curricula on as-a-service and mobile platforms to foster a culture of continuous learning. Instead of going through the traditional training schedule, employees will learn continuously.

Bhaskar Ghosh, group chief executive of Accenture Technology Services said, “With technology accelerating at a breathtaking pace, companies need to upskill their people at greater speed and scale to avoid being disrupted by competitors.” He further added, “Accomplishing this requires creating a culture of continuous learning that empowers people to build new skills. The Accenture Future Talent Platform helps companies do exactly that through a unique, interactive experience and rich curriculum.”

The platform was inspired by the social collaboration practices trending in the industry to help clients transform their workforce strategy from operations models to culture and upskilling.

Sanjeev Vohra, group technology officer of Accenture Technology said, “The Accenture Future Talent Platform is like Pinterest for learning.  Subject matter experts can create or curate learning boards using the vast amount of excellent content that already exists in the open market for a better, faster learning experience, and users can interact with each other by following, commenting and contributing to their favourite boards.”

Ellyn Shook, Accenture’s chief leadership and human resources officer, said, “Our interactive, customised learning platform tailors curriculum to the specific needs of each company or individual. We crafted a scalable, cost-effective approach for a new era of learning that puts the spotlight on ‘learning anytime, anywhere’ through digital technologies.”

The platform has been used to upskill teams, which require technical skills, such as Adobe Experience Manager, SAP Hybris and artificial intelligence to deliver projects, improve sales and customer service of retail clients. The platform will help clients launch new services on its e-commerce site 75 per cent faster than previously possible.
