The online company has launched a whole lot of services and facilities for its employees to entice them to its state-of-the-art facility in Gurgaon.

It is difficult to retain people, particularly in the sunrise sectors, where employees tend to change jobs at the drop of a hat. And if a company changes its office, it is likely to lose a few from its workforce.

It is interesting to see how Snapdeal has launched a whole range of innovative services to entice its employees.

The company plans to shift to a newly-built office in Gurgaon, which is spread across 4.5 lakh square feet, in mid-June. This new state-of-the-art facility claims to be equipped with a medical centre, a food court, a gym, a spa and a library, besides a crèche.

If this is not all, the company has even partnered with an online housing rental company, Housethat.co.in, to facilitate accommodation for employees who were willing to shift to Gurgaon.

What’s even more interesting is that the company has tried to ensure a smooth relocation of schools for the employees’ children. It has partnered with Mother’s Pride and Presidium to aid employees with the school admission process for their children.

Saurabh Nigam, vice president-HR, Snapdeal, says in an official communique, “An employee spends a considerable amount of time at work and we are committed to creating a comfortable workplace where they can look forward to coming every day.”

Despite the innovative and state-of-the-art facility, the online company is not taking any chances. It will continue to retain its existing offices in Delhi for employees who do not wish to relocate. To ensure hassle-free commutation between offices, the company will operate shuttle services between other Snapdeal offices in the city.

Though the Gurgaon office is in close proximity to the Rapid Metro Station, the local metro rail service for Gurgaon, the company will ply shuttle services between the new office and the closest metro station.
