Bharti Airtel has decided to lend a helping hand to the workforces of its distribution partners and retail franchise network during this difficult time. It has offered to pay the basic salary of almost 25,000 of their employees for the month of April.

Being aware of how the lockdown situation has put a stop to revenue generation across sectors, Bharti Airtel has decided to provide ‘one-time support’ to the staff working for its distributors and franchisees.

This generous act is aimed to ensure that the field service executives (FSE) and other frontline employees get at least a month’s basic income during this time of financial crisis.

As part of the ‘Atoot Bandhan’ campaign of the Company and to express its gratitude towards the field force of its distributors, Airtel recently covered all field service executives under a Covid-19 medical insurance. This is in addition to the scholarship schemes that the Company has been offering to the children of the staff working for its distributors.

The Company hasn’t forgotten its customers from the low-income category during these trying times. Bharti Airtel is extending the plan validity of 30 million low-income prepaid customers till the end of the lockdown, that is, May 3. These customers will be able to receive incoming calls on their Airtel mobile numbers even if their plan expires or gets exhausted.
