Infosys has opened a COVID care centre for its employees at Bengaluru. The centre will be solely dedicated to the IT major’s employees and their immediate family members. Located at Hotel Royal Orchid off Old Airport Road, this centre has been operational since April 24, 2021.

This initiative, undertaken in association with the Manipal Hospitals, aims to provide basic care to those suffering from the disease, with less or no symptoms, and lack adequate space for absolute isolation at homes.

The medical team from Manipal Hospitals will attend to the infected employees/family members aged 18 to 60. The admission and discharge will be strictly monitored medically.
The total cost of accommodation, food and medical consultation will be borne by the Company. However, the other costs such as medicines and tests will have to be borne by the employees.

In cases of emergency, patients may be shifted to Manipal Hospitals or nearby medical support facilities, but the preliminary round of oxygen will be arranged at the centre itself. Visitors and bystanders will not be allowed as per the treatment protocols, and there will be strict monitoring in the zone.

Infosys is also arranging vaccination camps for its employees and their immediate family members. For the drive, the Company has partnered with 130 hospitals, where the employees can get vaccinated on site visit.
