Viekas K Khokha has joined Dhanuka Agritech as head-HR. Before joining the agro chemical company, Khokha was the director-HR at Zimmer Biomet, a medical device company that manufactures aluminium splints.

At Zimmer Biomet, he spearheaded the HR component of the business strategy by planning, developing, and implementing initiatives that positively impacted the productivity, capability and effectiveness of customer groups.

Speaking to HRKatha on his new role at Dhanuka Agritech, Khokha says, “The role brings in the opportunity to create a talent pool, which needs to keep circulating in the industry. As an HR leader, I will contribute towards the creation of this talent pool through awareness generation, employee value proposition and employees happiness.”

Khokha began his career as a product executive at Ascom Holding AG in 2001, where he was responsible for end-to-end business partner management. Right from identifying new partners and providing product training, to monitoring and reporting on partner performance, he handled it all.

Having worked with Ascom Holding for more than two years, he joined Bharti Airtel as manager – sales in 2000, and went on to become the general manager- HR. In his more than a decade-long tenure at Bharti Airtel, he was instrumental in rolling out enterprise-wide key HR policies, ensuring financial efficiency and developing a culture of ‘One Airtel’.

For Khokha, the sales background has helped him engage well with business managers and develop the HR agenda effectively with ROI-based interventions.

With over 20 years of experience in various facets of human resources, Khokha has expertise in shaping organisational culture, nurturing progressive employee relations and also talent & organisational development.

Having entered Dhanuka Agritech at such a crucial time, when the workforce is still settling into the new normal, it will be a challenge to keep the staff motivated through the changes taking place at the workplace and in the very manner of working.

Currently, Dhanuka Agritech is looking at HR transformation and consolidating all the changes in terms of processes, policies and people practices.
