Around 100 team members have already moved in from a temporary office to the fresh swanky one. The expansion is in line with the company’s grand vision of acquiring up to 75 per cent of the market share in the hotels space, while further consolidating its leadership in the flights business.

The new Bangalore office boasts of 12 fully tech-enabled meeting rooms, innovative break out areas and flat, open workstations. There is a cafeteria with distinctive architecture and many other progressive design elements. The interiors have been aesthetically designed keeping in mind the MakeMytrip tagline ‘Dil toh roaming hai’.

Sharing his views regarding the development, Yuvaraj Srivastava, chief human resource officer, MakeMyTrip, said, “Opening the tech and product centre at Bangalore is a significant strategic decision in the domain of talent and people management, which is completely in line with the business imperatives for the coming years.”

He also shared that Internet technology comprises niche skills, and finding the right quality talent in this area is extremely important for the ever dynamic and agile technology world. While opening a centre at Bangalore, the idea was to remove all the road blocks in the way of best quality talent joining the organisation.

Srivastava proudly says that “MMT is a leadership factory for the talent in the Internet industry in the country, and boasts of having a huge number of ex-trippers holding senior and leadership positions in various tech companies. As an organisation, we have always believed in providing a stable career with great learning opportunities to all our team members. We’re confident that expansion into Bangalore will open another learning and development opportunity, for employees at large.”

The tech and product team based out of Bangalore will be working on the delivery of next- generation Web and mobile applications along with path-breaking innovative products and solutions for travellers worldwide.
