Twitter is at the fore of another layoff headline this year. Twitter CEO, Elon Musk looks like he isn’t done letting go of Twitter talent this year.
The news came days after the company laid off members from its infrastructure vertical.
In a tweet, ex-Twitter employee Skeadas said, “Yesterday was my last day at Twitter, as half of the remaining Public Policy team was cut from the company. It’s hard to convey how fortunate I feel to have had this exceptional opportunity.”
Theodora Skeadas, one of the laid off employees from the public policy team, says half of the remaining public policy team was laid off that day.
“I am unbelievably proud of the work we did to protect people in global conflicts including Iran, Ukraine, and Libya. I am especially proud of my work. Managing our Trust and Safety Council, until it was dissolved last week,” she tweeted.
Reuters also reported that Sinead McSweeny, chief of public policy at twitter left the company.
Since Elon Musk’s takeover of the microblogging site, the company has gone on to sack almost half of its workforce in three months.
