    Abhimanyu Sen to head HR, for Ford-Mahindra joint venture

    Abhimanyu Sen, who is currently the senior general manager and HR Head at Mahindra & Mahindra, will be taking charge of human resources for the new joint venture between Ford and Mahindra from  April 1.

    With over 17 years of experience across industry verticals and geographies, with specialisation in business partnering, partnering, performance and talent management, as well as learning and development.

    Along with Sen, Pankaj Sonalkar will take over as the chief of operations, while Sachin Arolkar will take over finances. Mahindra’s current head of strategic sourcing, Raghu Veeraraghavan, will continue sourcing for the new venture.

    Prior to Mahindra, Sen worked at GE as HR leader and business partner, for a little more than five years, till March, 2017. He began his career as an HR manager in ICICI Bank in 2005, after completing his master’s in personnel management and industrial relations, from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TIS).

    In 2007, he moved up to take on the role of senior consultant- business advisory services (HR) at Ernst and Young, where he stayed for one year and four months. After leaving EY in April 2008, he joined Kotak Life Insurance as sonal HR head-south and west. Kotak was his longest stint, before he joined GE in 2012.

    A rank holder commerce student, Sen graduated from the University of Mumbai in the year 2000.
