Druva, which enables cyber, data and operational resilience for organisations with the Data Resiliency Cloud, has hired Tom Brown as the new CHRO.

Brown comes with more than two decades of experience in HR leadership roles in various organisations. In this role, Brown will be responsible for empowering the Company’s global workforce while ensuring that the organisation is best positioned to support the rapidly expanding demand for SaaS-based data resiliency.

Prior to this role, Brown was the VP-HR at Coupa Software, a technology company which provides business-management software services, globally.

In his more than 25 year-long professional career, Brown has worn multiple hats, from being a teacher for two years in an institution to being a strategic consultant for various firms for a period of three years.

It was in 1999that Brown joined Dell and went on to become the HR director in his five- year stint with the Company. Moving on from Dell, he spent a year at Vodafone as the global head of recruitment and played a crucial role in leading major acquisitions for the firm in Europe. Brown has spent eight years with eBay in various HR leadership roles and has also worked with Automation Anywhere as SVP-HR for a year.

“Hiring, developing and retaining talent are key to our continued success and with Tom’s experience scaling and building high-performance teams, I’m confident we will grow our team with the best the industry has to offer,” shares Jaspreet Singh, founder and CEO, Druva.

The total workforce strength of Druva is more than 700 employees, of which more than 500 employees work in India. As per media reports, the Company plans to expand its India team, and the employee strength will cross 750 by the end of this year.

“It’s clear that Druva’s talented and passionate team have built an exceptional company that is defining the next generation of data protection in the cloud. I am delighted to join Druva and help support the Company as it continues to grow, evolve and build on its outstanding success,” says Brown on his appointment.
