GoTo, a company simplifying IT management, support, and business communication, has announced the appointment of Attila Török as its new chief information security officer (CISO). Furthermore,  Meredith Hawkins, formerly VP and head, global people partners at GoTo for four years, has been promoted to the position of chief people officer.

Hawkins will walk in the shoes of Jo Deal who served the position for six years at GoTo and now wishes to spend more time with her family. Prior to joining GoTo, Hawkins held many senior leadership positions at companies such as TripAdvisor, Akamai Technologies, and Staples.

With a career spanning nearly two decades, Hawkins brings a wealth of expertise in talent management, leadership development, performance management, and succession planning, making her highly qualified for her new role.

According to Paddy Srinivasan, chief executive officer, GoTo, Hawkins has played a crucial role in shaping the culture and community at GoTo during her tenure of four years. She has led various initiatives that have been instrumental in establishing career paths at the company and fostering a growth-oriented mindset among both leaders and employees. Srinivasan expresses great enthusiasm in collaborating with Hawkins to further enhance and evolve GoTo’s exceptional culture. “I couldn’t be more excited to work alongside Meredith to continue to build and evolve GoTo’s great culture of over 3,000 global employees,” she added.

With an aim to strengthen the leadership team, GoTo has appointed Attila Török as its chief information security officer (CISO). Török has re-joined the company after holding leadership position within the company’s security department, then known as LogMeIn. He served the company for almost six years from Jan 2014 to Nov 2019 where he played a vital role establishing and developing the company’s security function.

Moving on from GoTo, Török joined Zapier as its head of security. In his new position at GoTo, Török assumes the responsibility of ensuring the security of internal systems and products, effectively protecting GoTo’s valuable information assets.

Speaking on Török’s appointment, Olga Lagunova, chief technology officer, GoTo, said the company is thrilled to welcome Török back into the fold. “Attila’s expertise in cloud and product security and his proven record of seamlessly integrating security in all aspects of the product development process make him ideally suited to lead GoTo as we deepen our commitment to providing our customers with best-in-industry innovative and secure SaaS products,” she added.
