Belzabar Software Design, a subsidiary of a US-based webintensive software company, has recently made a strategic move by appointing Jayaraj Sekar as its director of human resources. Sekar brings with him more than seventeen years of experience in establishing and transforming human resources functions in various sectors such as IT, BPO, telecom, and conglomerates.

Sekar has had a dynamic career path, starting as CRD-recruitment at Mafoi Management Consultants.

He went on to hold leadership positions at several companies, including his longest stint of 8 years at Matrimony.com. Starting as senior manager HR talent acquisition and talent engagement, he progressed to associate general manager and ultimately became head of HR-technology and group functions. At Siva Group, Sekar served as manager of people and culture for a year, and then joined Reliance BPO as assistant manager HR in 2006. He continued to work at Reliance BPO for 6 years.

Sekar holds a master’s degree in human resources management, MSW HR, from D.G.Vaishnav College, Chennai.

As the director of human resources, Sekar’s role is crucial in developing and strengthening Belzabar’s human resources functions. He will be responsible for overseeing talent management initiatives, building individual and organisational capabilities, fostering a high-performance culture, and organisational design. He will also work closely with leaders in India and globally to foster a culture of excellence that prioritises personal and professional development.

Sekar’s appointment is expected to have a positive impact on Belzabar Software Design. Arun Saini, the global head of Belzabar, believes that Sekar is well-suited to lead the company and will bring a strong track record of working across sectors to transform the organisation. Sekar, on the other hand, is thrilled to join Belzabar Software Design, where he believes the culture of technology and innovation is deeply rooted in the company’s values.

Sekar’s experience and expertise will be invaluable to Belzabar as the company continues to grow and expand. He is committed to aligning  HR strategy with the organisation’s growth objectives and focusing on T’s Framework—talent acquisition, talent development, talent engagement, and talent retention—to make Belzabar Software Design a great place to work at. By doing so, Sekar will help Belzabar attract, retain, and develop top talent, which is essential for the company’s success in today’s competitive business landscape.
