    Kaya gets Amrita Chowdhury as VP & head-HR

    Kaya, an Indian multinational skincare, haircare, and bodycare treatment provider, has appointed Amrita Chowdhury as its new vice president and head-human resources, effective 15 January, 2024.

    Backed by 16 years of experience in human resources, Chowdhury brings with her a diverse background in QSR, pharma, biotech, and brand consulting industries.

    Prior to joining Kaya, Chowdhury was associated with Sapphire Foods as its GM & brand HR head for KFC and Pizza Hut. She joined the company in the year 2018 and spent close to six years with the company spearheading company’s cultural transformation and leadership development.

    Chowdhury possesses expertise across various HR domains, including learning and organisational development, talent management, employee engagement, employer branding and communication, HR business partnership, performance management, and compensation and rewards.

    She started her professional journey with Shining, a Bangalore-based consulting company, in the year 2007. Over there, she played the role of a HR generalist, encompassing talent acquisition, engagement and development, performance management, as well as HR operations.

    She spent over three years with the company and then moved to Biocon as its deputy manager-HR in the year 2010. At Biocon, she handled all the training needs of employees and delivered programmes on several behavioural and management competencies. Chowdhury then moved to Cipla in the year 2014.

    Chowdhury holds an MBA from IISWBM Kolkata and a master’s degree in English Literature from Presidency College, Kolkata.
