Money Smart has hired SBI’s Tina Sharma as its head of people. In this new role, Sharma will lead the global HR strategy of the Company, in line with its business strategy.

Sharma, who holds an MBA from University of Mumbai, has spent a significant part of her career, 11 years, with State Bank of India (SBI). In the initial years of her career, she worked with companies such as IBM, National Kidney Foundation and The Asian Banker.

She joined SBI in 2010 as assistant vice president-HR and four years later was elevated to the position of VP and head of HR. She admits that it was not easy to bid farewell to a place that truly helped her in her personal and professional growth. While working for SBI, Sharma was based out of Singapore.

Thanking the leaders, team and colleagues at SBI for “believing in me and giving me several opportunities to learn and grow”, Sharma reveals in her social media post that she has left SBI “with a heart full of gratitude, fond memories and lifelong friends”.

A seasoned HR professional, Sharma has a wealth of leadership experience in developing and implementing effective HR strategies alongside talent development of employees.

“It is great to work for an organisation that has a resounding commitment to empowering people to make smarter financial decisions,” Sharma states in her post.

She is eagerly “looking forward to working with dynamic leaders and extremely talented and purpose driven colleagues, to strengthen the human capital and continue to build Money Smart’s culture of innovation, creativity and diversity and inclusion,” writes Sharma in the post.
