Vyshak Das joins One Source as its first head of culture

Vyshak Das has been named as the first head of culture at One Source, an integrated marketing consultancy firm. His appointment follows the company’s vision towards building a vibrant and thriving workplace atmosphere.

Prior to joining One Source, Das was associated with Cyber Security Works, where he headed the overall business growth for the organisation. In the new role, Das will work towards the transformation of the workplace ecosystem. He will be working closely with Pragya Budhiraja, lead-human asset management, to contribute towards reshaping and enhancing the workforce dynamics.

Das started his career with McKinsey, where he joined the company as a junior associate in October 2012. After working there for more than a year, Das then moved to Hello FM 106.4 as its business management and acquisition partner. He later joined Whitedata Systems India as its assistant manager, market development. He also worked with Behindwoods.com as its engagement conceptualisation expert.

Recognising the significance of prioritising their employees, Srishty Chawla, co-founder, One Source, stated that bringing in a head of culture was a natural progression to place the company’s people at the forefront of its endeavours. For company/industry, we use it/its NOT their/theirs/they

She also highlighted the various initiatives the company has recently implemented. Some of them include mandatory block leaves every six months, an annual nine-day companywide vacation known as ‘Happy People Work Harder’, adopting a talent onboarding philosophy called ‘Purple Squirrel’, and organising 14-day off-site events to break the monotony of remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, welcoming Das to his new role, Budhiraja added that successful workplaces are defined by their people and partners. “Vyshak will drive a bottom-up listener’s approach, a paradigm we are defining for the marketing and consulting industry,” she said.
